State Senator Jeff Danielson (left) and Representative Bob Kressig (right) of Black Hawk are urging the Legislature to move quickly this session to add more money to the very successful home-buying program for military personnel and their families. The two legislators talked at the Iowa Statehouse with Sergeant First Class Lyndsay Thrane. Thrane, a member of the Iowa National Guard, returned home recently from Kuwait. She is a single mother of a 11-year-old son who purchased a home in Urbandale with the help of the Military Service Member Home Ownership Assistance program.
